Exploiting Obstruction
Ok, to be honest I'm not really sure why I'm posting this.
But I have noticed, after playing ranger a heaps recently (probably what everyone else has known for a while :P but anyhow) on many maps targets become obstructed for no apparent reason.
Happens mainly on maps with multiple teirs (heights) to them. Big ones on the kurzick and priest map in particular but if you stand on the bridge (priest map) near the railing in certain positions it is impossible for a ranger to hit you even if you are shooting to them from right adjacent to them with a clear line of sight.
Same with the kurzick map with the semi circle bit coving around to the other players starting position (above the enchanting water) Players can stand in certain positions near the edges of this part and become totally unhittable although there is an obvious clear line of sight.
Now I know guild wars has problems with the "z" axis and heights but would this just be a simple thing to fix? Extend the "imaginary" bounds of the edges a bit or something.

yup... this has been an issue for as long as i can remember, especially for someone who plays ranger so much... especially on ramps and stairs, i can be sitting adjacent to someone and have my arrows obstructed.
this is pretty much on all maps with bridges, stairs, ramps, etc.

Yes actually I noticed this today in a PvE area in Factions. My rit's spirits could not hit a foe that was 10 feet in front of them. I believe maybe a roof a bit above them was causing it.

the jade priest map is notorious for that...along with several other bugs.

Yeh ive seen that in tomb of primeval kings when someone was almost out of range. It was no height bug though, because the target was on the same level. It sounded more like 'being just close enough to fire, but just too far to use a skill'.

I play as ranger half the time I play.
Obstructed bugs all need to be fixed, especially the ones in the factions kurzick map... that ones so bad and so well known that people actually exploit it.
Also the "Can fire normal arrows, not skills" bug is just plain retarded. Its a major bow bug, but whats more irritating is how long Anet has allowed it to slip through the cracks. Hopefully its just because they havent gotten around to fixing it...but I kind of suspect that its more or less because they would have to rewrite a significant portion of the game code to fix it.
Both factions maps are the most buggy.
